FOR ETHICS GUIDANCE
OSD Personnel: The Standards of Conduct Office (SOCO) provides ethics guidance to personnel in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

Military Department/COCOM Personnel:  Your local Judge Advocate General or legal office is the most appropriate place for you to receive authoritative ethics guidance. If you do not know whom to contact locally, please try contacting the appropriate Service headquarter ethics office using the contact list along the right side of this page.

Defense Agency Personnel:  Your local legal office is the most appropriate place for you to receive authoritative ethics guidance.

If you do not have a legal or ethics contact for your Defense agency/organization, SOCO is happy to forward your inquiry as appropriate.

TO REQUEST PUBLIC FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORTS AND "OTHER COVERED RECORDS"

Submit a properly completed OGE Form 201 to the designated ethics office for the organization where the filer is employed/assigned.  For OSD and Military Department personnel, requests should be submitted to the e-mail addresses listed above.  When requesting documents for multiple filers, requestors may submit a single OGE Form 201 and attach the list of filers using a last name, first name format.  Note that documents for very senior political appointees, such as Secretaries and Under Secretaries, are publicly available on the OGE website here.
